The 16th annual global Conference on Reputation, Brand, Identity and Competitiveness took place from 30th May to June 1st, 2012 in Milan. More than 300 academics and professionals from all over the world participated in this important event.
Laura Illia, Assistant Professor in Corporate Communication and Academic Director of the Master in Corporate Communication at IE University won the best conference paper award, awarded by the Reputation Institute. The Reputation Institute is the world’s leading reputation management consultancy, enabling leaders to make more confident business decisions that build and protect reputational capital and drive competitive advantage.
The paper is entitled “Building a corporate image through identity stories: an empirical investigation” and is co-authored with Alessandra Zamparini from University of Lugano. The preliminary results of a research project entitled “One out of many” are described in it, focusing on how a regional brand emerges from the identities of companies operating in the region. The project is financed by the Junta de Castilla y León, Consejería De Educación, Dirección General de Universidades e Investigación.
The best paper award is provided every year to the most original academic presentation at the global annual conference. A commission of leading academics in the field of reputation, image and identity select the paper.
